EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES WORKSHOP SERIES

Brand experiences are entering a period of rapid transformation. Artificial intelligence, immersive media, and new forms of audience participation are reshaping how companies communicate, how stories are told, and how audiences engage with brands.

The Texas Immersive Institute invites marketing, brand, creative, and strategy leaders to participate in a two-day executive workshop exploring the technologies and experiences shaping the future of strategic work.

Participants will gain practical frameworks, exposure to emerging technologies, and insight into how next-generation creators prototype new forms of storytelling, interaction, and brand experience. This workshop is designed for leaders who want to stay relevant and better understand the creative technologies that will shape the next era of brand experiences.

Participants who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of completion from the Texas Immersive Institute, Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin.

Workshop 1 | Thursday, May 14, 2026

Applying AI to Strategic and Creative Processes

In partnership with the Nelson Center for Brand & Demand Analytics

Explore how artificial intelligence can support research, ideation, strategic insight, and creative development. 

Participants will examine how AI tools can synthesize information, identify patterns, accelerate ideation, and expand creative exploration while navigating ethical considerations such as bias, transparency, and responsible use.

Key themes include:

  • Strategic research with AI
  • Ethical considerations in AI use
  • AI-assisted ideation and analysis
  • Creative workflows with generative AI

Participants will leave with practical approaches for integrating AI into strategic and creative processes.

 

Workshop 2 | Friday, May 15, 2026

Immersive Storytelling for Strategic Experiences

Discover how immersive storytelling transforms audiences from observers into participants through narrative environments, interactive systems, and spatial experiences.

Participants will explore how story, space, and interaction combine to create compelling brand activations, installations, and next-generation media experiences.

Key themes include:

  • Designing participatory experiences
  • Environmental storytelling and audience journeys
  • Interactive installations and emerging media technologies
  • Prototyping immersive concepts and experiences

Participants will gain practical frameworks for designing experiences that combine narrative, technology, and audience engagement.
