TXI Workshops

Creating for immersive isn’t scary. In fact, take comfort in knowing that no one’s a master at XR. The immersive space is constantly growing and changing, no matter your experience, you will always be learning! At Texas Immersive, we offer FREE workshops every semester for you to take a deep dive into a technology that's relevant to immersive as a practice. All our workshops are open to everyone regardless of their experience level, major, or background! 

Open Lab x Demo Night 

We encourage anyone interested in TXI to join us at one or more of your Open Lab Nights! Come ask questions about the program and the application process. We often bring new XR tools for you to play with, you'll get the chance to meet other Explorers, industry professionals, and come hang out at our Immersive Lab! We can't wait to meet you!

Sandbox Fridays [+XP]

Every Friday of the semester, Texas Immersive will host Sandbox Fridays. These sessions are open to everyone in or outside UT. Our goal is to foster collaboration and curiosity. Join in or initiate a guided session around games, demos, research, and more! Gain Experience Points (XP!) on the first Friday of each month, at the XP Friday session! Any group or individual that's initiated something during Sandbox Fridays will have the floor to share, get feedback, ask for help, even if it is a work in progress! We want to celebrate everyone's achievements and cheer you on! 

Find us any Friday, anytime between 12 - 5 PM at the TXI Lab CMA 5th floor. No RSVP required, just stop by!

Open House

Every semester we host one big open house to welcome the new explorers, share updates about TXI projects or events, and open the floor for others in the ATX immersive community to share demos, playtest their latest projects and more!
