We empower artists, scientists, and humanists with access to cutting-edge technology and research to design experiences that address significant challenges.
We call these designers TXI Explorers.

Immersive is inviting, story-driven, sensorial and offers an emotional connection.
If an experience truly satisfies these needs then an audience will be immersed in a story that can provoke genuine action and true connections.
STEP INTO TEXAS IMMERSIVE
The Texas Immersive Institute recently completed a semester-long collaboration with HTC VIVERSE, resulting in the creation of brand-new virtual worlds that demonstrate the power of browser-based storytelling using WebXR. This marks HTC’s first academic collaboration utilizing VIVERSE Create, a WebXR platform for designing and exploring 3D environments directly through a browser.
The world below was created by TXI alum Chris Davila. It reimagines the physical TXI Lab as a virtual showcase and highlights 3 Texas Immersive projects: Be A Longhorn, Camp Cura, and Elysian Heights. The experience reflects our vision to prototype the future of storytelling, education, and human connection. We hope you enjoy it!
